We offer a flexible CSA shares designed to meet a wide variety of community needs. CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. It is a win-win relationship between the community and the farmer/rancher. Community members receive a share of quality, fresh produce at an affordable price. The farmer/rancher receives operating income, help, and a guaranteed market. The CSA concept provides a sustainable model for small-acreage agriculture.

Robinson Family Farm & Ranch Information
What is a Work Share? (click on paragraph title for more information)
The work share program allows people the opportunity to be involved in the production
of their food by working on the farm instead of paying for their share. The work share
program can be used as an educational apprenticeship, as a great way to save money, or to
feed your gardening addiction while rubbing shoulders with good neighbors in the
community.
RFFR's Agricultural Philosophy (click on paragraph title for more information)
RFFR’s operation is built on the values of family, self-reliance, education, quality, health,
safety, and integrity. We feel it important that consumers know and trust the names of
those who produce their food. We provide community members the option of being
involved in the production of the food they consume on a level that meets their needs.
Members are invited (not obligated) to participate and can enjoy extra produce through
their participation.
Certified Organic vs. “Customer Certified” (click on paragraph title for more info)
The existing organic certification has loopholes and is expensive. The best guarantee we
can offer our customers is involvement in the process. We call it “customer certification”
in which the farm doors are open to our customers and they certify if the operations meet
their standards. We guarantee our produce is chemical-free. Our commitment to the
customer is fresh, quality, safe produce.
Risks vs. Gains
CSA members are investing in local agriculture. Investments have both potential risks
and gains. Wise investors diversify their portfolio. RFFR is pleased to offer a diversified
operation with a variety of crops successfully grown in Star Valley. Our goal is to
minimize the risks and maximize the gains. We know some crops will not work out from
time to time. To minimize risk and to compensate for crop failures we have taken the
following steps: (1) plant far more produce than is required for the CSA; (2) use
greenhouses and row covers where possible; (3) plant experimental crops (not listed in
the CSA schedule) that can be used as substitutes and bonuses. Excess produce will be
sold to the public only after the priority CSA members are taken care of.
